The surrounding area
An encounter with nature:
Located at the foot of the Massif des Grandes Rousses, 1,860-metre high Alpe d´Huez overlooks the Oisans and 6 valleys. The beautiful Massif des Ecrins offers fabulous hiking.

Heritage and Traditions:
The Huez and Oisans museum offers temporary exhibitions, archaeological exhibits, acitivites and tours of the museum and archaeological site at Brandes en Oisans. You can also visit the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cultural centre (craft exhibitions, organ concerts every Thursday night and guided tours) and the Bourg d'Oisans mineralogy museum.
