Description : The resort and surrounding area

La Clusaz offers all the rustic charm of a typical mountain village, attractively laid-out around its central feature, the church tower. This dynamic resort organises a number of competitions including downhill skiing, Nordic skiing, snowboarding and free-riding. La Clusaz offers its visitors high quality, high-altitude skiing, in the outstanding setting of the Aravis range and its magical valleys.

An encounter with nature
La Clusaz is situated in the heart of the Aravis range, which is ideally located between Annecy lake and the Mont Blanc chain. Its summit, "La Pointe Percée" reaches 2,752 m. Its fauna and flora are rich and varied thanks to the diversity of the landscape (woodland and valleys). Among the animals that visitors can find here, we should mention the Alpine ibex, the chamois, the marmot, and a wealth of birds including the bearded vulture and the black grouse. Take advantage of this superb location to discover the mountain on foot or on snowshoes, including 35 km of well-packed down and marked out trails and dinner at a high-altitude mountain restaurant.

The "Ecomusée du Bois et de la Forêt" (The Living Museum of Wood and Forestry) in Thônes which is home to a water-powered sawmill dating from the 19th century. Regular ski-bus service from the resort’s various districts every half-hour. Night service on Friday and Saturday during the French Christmas and February school holidays (free with the Guest card and the resident card)
Service to the resorts of Grand-Bornand and Saint-Jean de Sixt by the Aravis ski-bus (10 min), departure every half-hour from the Salon des Dames car park.
