Description : The resort and surrounding area

A veritable natural balcony with full southern exposure, La Rosière 1850 overlooks the Tarentaise Valley and is located near the famous Mont-Blanc and Vanoise mountain ranges. The site’s beauty, charming old stone houses with slate roofs, relaxed atmosphere and peace and quiet make this village an ideal place for family holidays.

An encounter with nature
Discover the Petit Saint Bernard Pass, a high plateau with a cromlech. On the road from La Rosière to Samoëns, Mont Blanc appears flanked on the left by the wooded slopes of Criou and on the right by the soaring Pointe de Sales. The Avoudrues range appears to the east.

Heritage and Tradition :
Visit the Wildlife and Nature Museum, the textile mill and the Baroque church and all its treasures in Séez Saint-Bernard. Learn about Baroque art on the road through the villages: Montvalezan parish church and the 14 chapels scattered throughout the town. Enjoy traditional Savoyard architecture in the Old Village and Eucherts. See where the famous Saint Bernard dogs are bred. Explore the ruins of the Fort, the scene of fierce fighting during the Second World War.
