Description

In a unique position in the Savoie, the heart of Tarentais region, Les Coches (1450 m) offers you the warm and friendly atmosphere of a resort where stone and wood are the principal building materials. Get set for plenty of skiing action out on the slopes, whether in the La Plagne ski area or at Paradiski, as one of the stations for the Vanoise Express cable car linking La Plagne to Les Arcs is located in the Montchavin les Coches sector.

An encounter with nature
Setting out from Les Coches, you can head off in the direction of Montchavin, where you will certainly appreciate the charm of the ancient buildings and the atmosphere of a traditional village that has succeeded in retaining its original character. To reach Plan Bois, all you need to do is follow the path that runs alongside the forest of fir trees and follow the tracks left by the animals from the mountain.

Heritage and Tradition :
The Baroque trails along the Tarentaise valley with the church of Saint Sigismond. The Pierre Borrione archaeological museum. The historical village of Aime, once the capital of a Roman province, with its many Gallo-Roman and medieval remains, local arts and crafts, etc.
