Description

At 2,300 m. above sea level, Val Thorens is Europe’s highest resort and the summit of Three Valleys, the world’s biggest ski area. Val Thorens offers outstanding snow and winter sports for everybody from families to top-notch athletes. It is well-known for its skiing as well as for its après-ski activities. Val Thorens also offers a unique opportunity to discover magnificent scenery.

An encounter with nature
Péclet Glacier: view
La Cime de Caron: the widest view in France accessible by ski-lift (you can see more than 1,000 mountaintops). Snowshoeing in the middle of nature: quiet, escape, the muffled silence of wide open snow-covered areas, the magic of fir trees blanketed by snowflakes.

Heritage and Tradition :
Belleville Valley, major stops on the "Baroque Trails", the churches of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Saint-Jean-de-Belleville, Notre-Dame-de-la-Vie chapel (Baroque style), high-altitude farms (traditional cheese-making), valley villages and hamlets.
