Description
Nestling on the edge of forests on the slopes of Cheval Noir, Valmorel is a charming village resort featuring traditional timber, stone and slate architecture. "Le Grand Domaine" offers you all the diversity of wide open spaces, and there are plenty of winter sports within your reach. The centre of Valmorel is car-free, making it especially pleasant to explore this lively village.
AN ENCOUNTER WITH NATURE
The Morel Valley villages: located on “balconies” 1,000 to 1,300m above sea level, the many packed down marked walking trails enable you to explore typical Savoyard villages and their architecture.
Golet Pass (1,830m): a view of Valmorel Valley flanked by the Cheval Noir, accessible via the Pierrafort cable-car.

Quarante Planes: The alder tree barn, the communal oven, Saint-Laurent chapel.

Shops
All shops and services are to be found in the resort centre: restaurants, mini supermarkets, sports shops, bakeries, bars, etc. There is a small shopping centre in the hamlet of Crève Cœur.
