Resort Description
Tossa de Mar, 90 km north of Barcelona, is located between sea and mountains, in typically Mediterranean surroundings with crystal-clear waters.
Tossa has managed to preserve the mark of history: the old town, castle and outer walls dating from the Middle Ages are unique on the Costa Brava.
In the new quarters, visitors can find whatever they want: restaurants, all sorts of boutiques, bodegas, various services, etc.
The main Mar Gran beach is right next to the seafront promenade at the foot of the old town, and attractive Mar Menuda cove closes the bay a little further east.
Thursday is market day: olives, walnuts, honey and vegetables are sold alongside clothes, jewellery and antiques.
