- Its 17th and 18th century town houses give great charm to the town, as does the majestic Cours Mirabeau with its archway of plane trees, the Hôtel de Forbin and the Italian style façade of the Hôtel Maurel-de-Pontévès.
- The Mazarin quarter with the Hôtel de Caumont, Arbaud Museum (collection of old glazed earthenware), Granet Museum (fine arts and archaeology), located in the old Palais de Malte.
- Other sites are the Law Courts, the Natural History Museum and the Town Hall. Boulegon Street (Paul Cézanne), the Old Aix Museum (history, folk art and traditions of Aix and the surrounding area), the old Archbishop's Palace and the Tapestry Museum.
