The surrounding area
The view from the top of San Peyre (St Peter's) hill takes in the Tanneron, the Gulf of La Napoule and Cannes, Cap d’Antibes.
The Massif de l’Estérel: between St Raphaël (30 km) and La Napoule (3 km), with its natural décor, this is one of the most beautiful regions of Provence, stretching right down to the sea in places. The "Corniche d’Or" coastal road takes you there.
Inland are many craftsmen villages: Vallauris (13 km) and its potters, Biot (21 km) and its glassmakers, Grasse (15 km) where you can visit the perfume-makers etc.
Do not miss: an excursion to the Lérins Isles: île Sainte Marguerite (Fort Royal, Sea Museum) and île Saint-Honorat (the Monastery, Abbey and Château).
Places to visit: Cannes (8 km), Mougins (12 km) citadel overlooking Cannes Bay, the medieval village of Auribeau-sur-Siagne (10 km), Antibes (19 km) and the ramparts, the ancient town of Fréjus (30 km), the artists' village of St Paul de Vence (30 km) etc.
