Description : The resort and surrounding area

The resort

8 km from the old medieval town of Hyères with Place Massillon, old St Paul's collegiate church, the Romanesque church of St Louis, St-Bernard Park, castle ruins, Municipal Museum, Olbius Riquier Garden, Saint Blaise Tower.
The "double tombolo de Giens":a marsh converted into salt marshes providing a refuge and stopover for migrating birds.The salt road leads to Almanarre beach and is ideal for bicycle rides and walks.

The surrounding area

The Hyères Isles, also called the "îles d’Or", are true botanical reserves. Boat rides to:
- Ile de Porquerolles: the largest isle (7 km long and 3 km wide).
- Port Cros Island: listed National Park
- Levant Island: with its 8 km-long rocky ridge surrounded by inaccessible cliffs.
On the peninsula: Giens, a small, charming Provençal village; the Niel and Madrague harbours; Darboussière beach (walks along the coastal path lined with cliffs and beaches); the salt trade eco-museum at the "Salins des Presquiers" (2 km circuit).
The "Corniche des Maures" (scenic tourist coastal road from Lavandou to La Croix-Valmer).
