Cap d’Agde, located at the foot of Mount St Loup, an extinct volcano, has 4 destinations: the town of Agde, Le Grau d’Agde, Cap d’Agde and La Tamarissière.
The town of Agde, one of France's oldest towns, with an outstanding archaeological heritage: the heart of the town, the fortified Romanesque cathedral built of volcanic stone, elegant town mansions, the ramparts, the Agathois Museum.
Cap d’Agde: cliffs and the Richelieu Pier, the Aquarium and the Ephèbe Museum.
Grau d’Agde, a small fishing port at the mouth of the Hérault, and La Tamarissière, near a magnificent pine wood opposite Grau d’Agde between the beach and the Hérault, are two picturesque villages.
