Resort Description

Port Barcarès is one of the sportiest resorts in the Languedoc-Roussillon.
A prime location between the 7,000-hectare marine lake of Salses and the Mediterranean Sea.

Argelès Village (28 km), an old Catalan town, with its medieval Notre Dame Del Prats church in the heart of the old town, right next to the Catalan museum of Arts and Popular Traditions, the ramparts and the Tour de la Massane (late 18th c.).
Several châteaux to visit, including the Château de Valmy and its grounds, Château de Taxo d’Avall and the Viscount’s chapel, Château de Pujol, Château de Ultrera and the Notre Dame du Château Hermitage (towards Spain, near Argèles).
