Sablais Water Sports
In the footsteps of the great sailors, come on board with the Sablais Water Sports Club for introductory or advanced courses in sailing, and to learn to steer 7.50 m to 13.50 m yachts. For adults and children over 14 years old.

The Sablais Water Sports Club offers you preferential rates:
- 5-day courses, from Monday to Friday.
- day excursions.

- It is essential that children aged 14 to 15 years inclusive must be accompanied by at least one adult (paying).

Resort Description

Les Sables d’Olonne: The "Port Olonna" yachting marina – the starting and finishing point for the round-the-world non-stop "Vendée Globe" yachting race since 1989 – and the fishing port (eighth largest in France).
Two districts well worth seeing: firstly, the Ile de Penotte, a picturesque old quarter in the town centre with pedestrian alleys and façades decorated with shells by a local artist. Secondly, the La Chaume quarter, where the city originated: the fishermen’s district, with the Place Sainte Anne and its magnificent trompe l’œil fresco.
Many noteworthy monuments, such as the "Halles Centrales", now home to the food market, Notre-Dame de Bon Port Church, and St Nicolas’ Priory, today a venue for meetings and cultural events.
A number of museums: "Musée de l’Abbaye de Sainte Croix" (collection of modern and contemporary French art), "Musée de la Mer" and the "Musée du Coquillage": unique of its kind in Europe, with its 35,000 tropical shells, corals and shellfish).
The "Jardin des Salines": a protected site retracing the history of salt over the ages, where you can watch wading birds nesting in the marshes.

Sea trips leaving from Fromentine (69 km): excursions to the Ile d’Yeu by catamaran or trawler.
"Musée de l’Automobile" in Talmont St Hilaire (12 km): 150 vehicles from 1885 to prototypes of the future.
Bird observatory on the Ile d’Olonne.
The Olonne-sur-Mer marshes, formed long ago when the gulf silted up. Used for breeding fish and oysters (over 4,500 hectares of earth and water strips), and is also a real bird reserve.
"Le Grand Parc du Puy du Fou" historical theme park is 92 km away.
